Chevrolet’s car lineup is getting a face lift in the 2019 model year!

The 2019 Chevy Cruze, Malibu, and Spark will feature more sporty styling, enhanced features, and a wider variety of choices on trims, packages, and models.

“We are committed to offering consumers a full lineup of products with fresh designs, new technologies and efficient powertrain options,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet, in a press release. “The investments we have made in Spark, Cruze, and Malibu will help position the brand for success in competitive segments that still make up a significant part of the total industry.”

All three vehicles will include Chevy’s signature lighting on the front and back. The front ends are re-designed, but the vehicles still have their athletic body sides.

“The re-styled face of Chevy cars for 2019 is characterized by a family-like appearance, with each model honoring its Chevrolet heritage while showing off expressive designs,” said John Cafaro, executive director of Global Chevrolet Design, in a press release.

One new offering is the first-ever Malibu RS. The sporty sedan includes blacked-out styling including a black sport grille, black bowtie emblems, a rear spoiler, 18-inch machined wheels, and dual-outlet exhaust.

The front-end of the Spark will change to match the looks of the Cruze and Malibu. There will be new exterior color options, revised interior trim, and an additional available active safety feature: Low Speed Forward Automatic Breaking, which can help drivers prevent or reduce the severity of low-speed front-end collisions by applying the brakes or enhancing the driver’s braking.

The 2019 Spark is expected to be at dealerships in summer 2018.

All in the Family — 3 Chevy Cruzes for the Millers

Nathan Miller

Nathan Miller, his younger brother Matt Miller, and their father Dan Miller are all driving new Cruzes from Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL!

They each leased their new vehicles from salesperson John Riley in the last 10 days.

“It all started when my younger brother’s timing chain broke on his Chevy Cavalier in the driveway,” Nathan said.

Matt shopped around and ended up leasing a 2015 Chevy Cruze 1LT from John Riley.

Then it was a domino effect: Dan leased a 2015 Chevy Cruze 1LT, and since the water pump on Nathan’s 1999 Honda Civic needs to be replaced, he decided to lease a 2015 Cruze Eco.

Nathan likes the looks of the Cruze, as well as the fact that his is a 6-speed manual transmission.

“I like manuals and when I drove it, it felt really nice,” Nathan said.

He came to John because the process had been simple with his family members.

“He’s a nice guy, he helped me quite a bit with what I needed to know,” Nathan said. “It was pretty easy and no pressure.”

Nathan said leasing is an option that allows him flexibility.

“It’s only a 27-month lease so you have a chance to decide if you want to keep it or not,” he said. “You aren’t hooked in for a few years.”

Happy motoring, Miller family!

A Pair of Cruzes for This Pair

Troy and Jennifer Kost, of Le Claire, Iowa, arrived at Runde Auto Group in a Chevy Cruze, and left with another Cruze!

They purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT from Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL.

The white sedan is the couple’s first vehicle from Runde Auto Group, but their second Cruze.

“We are going to start our own fleet,” Jennifer said, laughing.

Troy drove a Cruze as a rental car a few times and said he wanted his own.

Jennifer said the vehicle passed her height test:

“Whatever car he likes, I have to sit in it to see if I can see out of it,” she said.

She also was happy it was an automatic so she didn’t have to worry about shifting while driving and also paying attention to her children in the backseat.

Their salesperson was Donavon Nelson, of Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL.

Happy motoring, Troy and Jennifer!
