Customer Input Drives 2019 Buick Envision Makeover

The all-new 2019 Buick Envision has arrived at Runde Chevrolet Buick GMC in Platteville, WI!

The re-designed luxury SUV has a new grille, sculpted front and rear, and new wheel choices.

“Some of the 2019 Envision’s most notable changes are the results of listening to our customers,” said Elizabeth Pilibosian, chief Envision engineer, in a press release. “Beneath the updated exterior are a number of changes guided by a goal of offering the most refined and pleasant driving experience possible.”

20180619_155317One of those customer-guided changes is a stop/start deactivation switch on the instrument panel. This allows the driver to choose whether to use the stop/start function.

Small tweaks throughout the vehicle make for a better driver experience: the seat heating system warms up more quickly, the hands-free microphone is improved for better call quality and voice recognition, and the Rear Vision Camera has enhanced visibility.

The 2019 Envision also includes a Tire Fill Alert that lets a driver know when a tire has reached its recommended pressure level.

In the cabin, there is an air ionizer to help eliminate odors, reduce bacteria, and provide better air quality.20180619_155302

Other changes include:

  • New nine-speed automatic transmission for 2.0L turbo models.
  • 2.0L turbo engine offers increased vehicle performance of 252 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
  • Single rate brake booster for improved overall brake performance that requires less effort.
  • Flexibility to switch between Adaptive Cruise Control and conventional Cruise Control.

Chevrolet’s car lineup is getting a face lift in the 2019 model year!

The 2019 Chevy Cruze, Malibu, and Spark will feature more sporty styling, enhanced features, and a wider variety of choices on trims, packages, and models.

“We are committed to offering consumers a full lineup of products with fresh designs, new technologies and efficient powertrain options,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet, in a press release. “The investments we have made in Spark, Cruze, and Malibu will help position the brand for success in competitive segments that still make up a significant part of the total industry.”

All three vehicles will include Chevy’s signature lighting on the front and back. The front ends are re-designed, but the vehicles still have their athletic body sides.

“The re-styled face of Chevy cars for 2019 is characterized by a family-like appearance, with each model honoring its Chevrolet heritage while showing off expressive designs,” said John Cafaro, executive director of Global Chevrolet Design, in a press release.

One new offering is the first-ever Malibu RS. The sporty sedan includes blacked-out styling including a black sport grille, black bowtie emblems, a rear spoiler, 18-inch machined wheels, and dual-outlet exhaust.

Off the Beaten Path: GMC Reveals First Ever Off-Road 2019 GMC Sierra AT4

GMC recently revealed the first-ever 2019 GMC Sierra AT4!

While it is an off-road capable vehicle, the AT4 still has the refinement and technologies GMC is known for, making it ideal for both the open road and an off-road adventure.

“The AT4 brings new levels of refinement and innovative technology — a formula that no one else in the industry currently delivers,” said Alan Batey, EVP and President of GM North America, in the vehicle’s reveal video.

The exterior of the vehicle is based on the next generation 2019 GMC Sierra, with tweaks including body color front and rear bumpers and grille surround, black chrome throughout, high gloss black finish on the window trim and mirror caps, and a few touches of red to complete the look.

The AT4’s suspension rides 2 inches higher than the 2019 Sierra, giving it better ground clearance for off-road driving. Four-wheel drive is standard, as is a 5.3-liter V-8 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, the vehicle is ready for any activity, while also providing a comfortable ride. Rubber floor liners are standard, and a large 24-liter storage tray can be found beneath the second-row seats. Rear seat backs can open to reveal two 10-liter storage spaces as well.

The AT4 doesn’t skimp on technology. Notable features include:gmc-life-sierra1500-AT4-Reveal-3-19PGSR00246

  • Traction Select System: Allows the driver to choose from pre-set drive modes that have been tailored for a variety of terrain or weather conditions.
  • Segment-first Multi-Color Head-Up Display: Projects customizeable vehicle data on the windshield in a 3×7-inch display.
  • Surround Vision: This available feature provides the driver with a bird’s-eye view through an overhead image on the infotainment screen. This is useful when maneuvering in tight quarters like a parking garage or challenging trail.

The vehicle has best-in-class cargo volume — 62.9 cubic feet on the short box model and 89.1 cubic feet on standard box models. The box also provides a 110-volt outlet.

The Sierra AT4 also incorporates the industry-first GMC MultiPro Tailgate, which has six unique functions and positions.

The vehicle will be available at dealerships this fall.
