We are proud to welcome Rick Valcin to the sales team at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL!

Rick has been in automotive parts sales for 1 1/2 years. He has a degree in Sports Marketing and Management from the University of Dubuque.32

“I chose automotive sales because I grew up around cars and love learning about them,” Rick said.

His favorite vehicle is the 1969 Chevy Chevelle because of the old body style.

Rick is from the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia and moved to Dubuque in the fall of 2013. He and his wife, Nadyah, have two sons and a daughter.

While studying at the University of Dubuque, Rick became the 2014 NCAA Outdoor National Champion in pole vaulting – his personal best is 17 feet! He pole vaulted from 2009 to 2015.

“My six years of vaulting was very exciting and successful,” Rick said. “I enjoyed representing my country in Mexico, Puerto Rico, USA, and Scotland at the Commonwealth G2ames, which is the third largest games in the world, apart from the World Championship and the Olympics.”

We are going to test his skills by having him pole vault over stacked Silverados.

“On a good day, I’ll vault over three Silverados,” Rick said.

Rick is excited to help customers at Runde Auto Group find the perfect vehicle for their needs. He is enjoying his new job.

“It has been wonderful,” he said. “It is a great staff to learn from. So far it feels like my dream job.”

You can reach Rick at rvalcin@rundeautogroup.com or by calling 866-735-5200.
