Volunteer Opportunities Abound at this Open House!

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Look no further!

The Millwork Collective will host a Volunteer Fair and Open House 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, in the Schmid Innovation Center, 900 Jackson St.

More than 10 non-profit organizations will be represented, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness, ARK Advocates, Junior Achievement of the Heartland, Dubuque Chorale, Presentation Lantern Center, HEART (Housing Education and Rehabilitation and Training), Four Mounds Foundation, Irish Hooley, Studio Works, Habitat for Humanity, Compass to Care, and Gallery C.

Each are in need of volunteers for various tasks, many of which are short-term commitments. Some of their needs are: a CPA to help with taxes and accounting, a graphic artist, help with marketing, writers for newsletters, photographers, answering phones, grant writing, mentoring, and website design/upkeep.

Light refreshments will be provided and more than $600 in door prizes will be awarded. For more information about the Millwork Collective, visit www.dubuquemillworkcollective.org.
