Credité Velo-Trek is already in high gear for its second year!

The professional cycling development team, based out of Dubuque, has grown from three riders and a guest rider to five riders and a guest rider.

Dave Hartig, the team’s business director, said he learned a lot from the team’s first year.

“Our one takeaway is that to do it well, everything takes more time than you expect it to,” he said. “One detail begets 10 Credite Velo Van picCredite Velo Vehiclemore. We no longer feel like we are trying to catch up.”

The goal of the team is to help riders connect with people within the professional cycling industry and to develop the physical and professional attributes to market themselves at the highest level of the sport. Dave Hartig, along with general manager and team director David Paquette, operate the sports management company that owns and operates the team.

Riders include Ross White, of Arcadia, WI; Evan Hartig, of Dubuque, IA; Andrew Buntz, of Des Moines, IA; Tim Savre, of Glencoe, MN; and Matt Zimmer, of De Witt, IA. Click here to see more information about each team member.

Runde Auto Group is proud to be a sponsor of Credité Velo-Trek and to provide a blue Chevrolet Sonic for the team’s Runde logouse as a caravan/rally car, as well as a 15-passenger van. Watch for our logo on their bike shorts and team jerseys as they fly by!

The team’s racing schedule runs from March to September and includes 21 races in 16 states. A highlight of this year’s schedule is the 2015 Tour of Galena. Set for June 2-5, the Tour of Galena, consists of four stages over three days.

“It’s a big deal since we are a pro-level team coming to a local event,” Dave said.

Plus, the team members’ friends and family will be able to cheer them on.
