Coming Soon to Runde of Manchester…

Ford is working on the newest addition to their line-up…the 2010 Ford C-Max. It will be a smaller, less-expensive economy car that will fit in well below the Ford Edge. Based on the same styling and mechanics as the European Focus, the C-Max has the same 104″ wheelbase and it’s overall length is 172″. As of right now, there is only a 5-seater version, but there is talk that a 7-seater may be available in time for its American debut.

The C-Max has 3 individual seats in the back, and they are all capable of tilting forward or being removed. The 143 horsepower 2-Liter 4 cylinder returns an average 32 miles per galon in the European manual, and 29 mpg in the automatic. The American version is expected to have a diesel 2-Liter option, that is capable of an average 41 mpg between highway and city driving.
